Linda Sue Oakes, 61, of Columbus passed away on Friday, August 19, 2011 at her home, she was born November 30, 1949 in Columbus, Georgia, to the late William C. Oakes and Evelyn Grace Hilton Oakes.
Graveside services will be 11:00 am, Monday, August 22, 2011 at Parkhill Cemetery with Reverend Mel Turner officiating, according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary 4071 Macon Road Columbus.
Visitation for Miss Oakes will be from 5-7 pm, Sunday, August 21, 2011 at the funeral home.
Survivors include two loving nieces, Susan Hancock Blackwell and Beck Oakes Rowe, great nieces and nephews, Barney (Ginger) Bundy, Liberty Bundy, Scott Bundy, Tyler, Nick, Gary and Pee Wee and several great-great nieces and nephews and cousins, a loyal loving friend Gus Swinson and her dog Sweetie.
